This pensive looking French doll was attributed to Henri Rostal who made dolls for a few years only. She has a perfect good quality bisque head with fixed blue striated eyes, pierced ears, card pate and original real hair wig. There are some firing lines at the sides of the head along part of the seams which make the join in the mould look more prominent, but this is not damage and has to be mentioned for accuracy. Her late Jumeau body is in reasonably good condition although the hands have had a repaint and there is a bit to the knee area as well.  She measures 24 inches and dates around 1915.
